Maughon was last seen leaving Whitey's Hideaway Lounge and Bar in Winder, Georgia after a pool tournament on the night of Monday, April 8, 1985. His car, a black Ford Torino, was found unlocked in the parking lot of the Old Fort in Fort Yargo State Park by Park Rangers on Tuesday, April 9, 1985.
